Interesting observation between Stepfather's 11/350 and my 13/150, both 6.2. He has aluminum valve covers and the oil filter is at the left rear of the engine. I have plastic covers and my filter is left front.

My 2011 6.2 has aluminum valve covers and the filter is in the left front.

Wouldn't trade my 6.2 for a 5.0 any day. the drive ability of this truck is just perfect!

Interesting, so we're up to 3 variants. The filter location must be chassis related, and the valve covers probably got changed due to cost.
Spot-on about the driveability. The only thing I wish I could modify is the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. I wish it would hold on a little longer before upshifting at light throttle. I've considered a programmer but this is a very minor thing. A little better fuel economy would be nice, but a lot of that is based on how you drive and its hard not to put your foot into it. It just loves to run.

Completly understand! A custom tune made all the difference. Mine shifts perfect now. I thought the same exact thing.

That is a crazy low weight requirement. Why can't you drive it that route?

the new NY state rule is on parkways you can't drive a commercial plate vehicle, and due to the unladen weight of this Platinum being slightly over 6000lb, which is the current limit, the NJ dealer felt they have to register for me as commercial... and for some reason, upon this realization (even if i don't mind) they just became reluctant to do the trade! it's really a seller's market for trucks, no sales person bother to chase after me anymore.

What do you recommend for a tune/tuner? I'm still thinking about it.
