Personally, I like the looks of the FX package, but was concerned what the painted front bumper would look like in a few years. The paint on these trucks is not the best, and I thought chrome would probably stand up better over time. I've never been a fan of leather seats, so XLT was my choice. I also like the idea of being able to safely carry six passengers with the front bench seat.

What do you consider expensive? $100 $200 $500 $1000? What do you want to do with it? Lift it? Lower it? Leveling kit?

You can do some minor customizing with Plastidip, it is a spray paint that can be removed.
Around $100. Just minor things for now.

LED light upgrades for the interior
2014 Ecoboost lower grill
Leveling kit, up or down can be done for $100 if you do the work
Plastidip your wheels and emblems
Check graigslist for used parts, got my bedrug for $200
If it is a 5.0 you can do the Mustang coil covers for cheap, the engine cover requires more work

Just some ideas

if its a 2013 - door detents are almost a must (wish I would have bought mine sooner, but not sure if they addressed on the 14's)
some type of lock for the tailgate - i have the master one
bug deflector - some people like them, some dont
bed hooks - i have the bullys - necessary if you haul anything
a 2x6 for the bed so you can set stuff back there, and still get it after you have hit the brakes a few times
