f-150 ordering experts: please help
Order help please?
I ordered a 2013 F-150 Supercab, Lariat. My options included:
Ecoboost
Lariat Chrome package
Max Trailer Tow package
Off Road package
3.73 electronic lock axle
LT275/65R18C All-Terrain OWL tires
The dealer got a warning back from the system that said the LT275/65R18C all terrain tires are not possible on this order, but won't say why. The P rated tire in the exact same size, P275/65R18 is the only tire the system will allow in this combination. Any order guru's know why this combination is not working? I really want all terrain tires. P rated tires are more like SUV or car tires. Thanks,

The "all terrain" tires that come on these trucks are nothing to gush over. Youre really not missing anything.
Order the truck as close as you can to what you want. Sell the tires on Craigslist and then buy what you want.
Thats what I did.

The only way to get the off road package with the chrome package is to get the normal chrome package P rate tires. How they have it set up you can't get a LT tire with the chrome package. I don't agree with this but some bean counter decided to do things this way so I have to live with it. We generally credit $500 for the new factory p rated goodyear tires so you aren't out much more than $500 bucks for some LT tires that will out last the factory ones. Keep in mind you'd have to pay $275 retail for the LT tire option if you were to get them anyway. Cheers

Exactly...if you want all terrain tires these are not them, get something better aftermarket. Can't wait til next Fall to get these Goodyears burned off, terrible for what I do but wasn't gonna buy the truck and spend more on tires right away haha

It doesn't matter what model you get or how you option out your truck. You're going to get the best 1/2 ton truck on the market with crappy tires. I sold my stock pirellis with 600 miles on them. The 275/55/20 Pierllis are probably the worst stock tire you can get on an F150 but the other options aren't much better.
