these should be on every tail gate, it really works and lowers gate without a bang... I moved the unit from my 2004 to 2011 truck...

And for those of you who think it's a lazy "mod", it's not about convenience. And it's not just about protecting the tailgate from slamming open.

Those of you who have small children or have friends who's children are around your truck should consider it. Little kids love to try things they see adjults doing, and when they're too small to control the tailgate, it can cause serious injury if the weight of it comes down on their head or shoulders uncontrolled.

Thank you. Nobody mentioned the price from the company. From what I saw they don't list prices on the site. I tend not to do business with these kinds of companies.

EDIT:

For those of us that are in Canada these guys have a warehouse in Ontario. I called and the products ship from the manufacturer right to Canadian warehouse. I am hoping this will avoid the cross border fees

Maybe they need to start putting power tailgates on these like so many SUVs have these days?

my kid got three stitches from a tailgate that was opened and let go by his brother! so this is a cool idea in my book! and if he would have been facing it it just might have got his eyeball! you know what thay say! its all fun and games till some one loses an eyeball! then hey free eyeball!
