Just got mine, got nailed for 22.53 for duty. Turns out it would have cost me the same to buy it locally, so much for the deal on shipping..lol, whatever. Going to have to wait to install it, no garage and someone decided winter wasn't over yet. ughh I was hitting golf ***** on the weekend

E-clips. Make sure it's tight and fits in the groove.

(that's what *she*said)

K, got it installed and everything fit fine. Had some binding of the cable at first, it was jamming up between the strut and the tailgate. I know others had this problem as well, I may have a fix. Where the cable attached to the truck, it appeared to have a slight kink just past the connector, which seemed to force the cable to the inside. I took my trusty old hammer and "smacked" it a couple times to the outside of the truck. Straightened out the cable and all is well, works perfectly now.

Once the shrink-wrapped foam went on the cable (just above the strut cylinder) there wasn't a problem.

Default Did this the other day

I have a question about the holder in the tail gate itself. When I tightened it up I figured it would fit tight to the gate, but it hits the nut first and seem sort of loose. Do I need to get a little washer and put it on it to make it tight? Anybody else have this problem?
