EZ cheap bakflip drain improvement
Tried to find this post already on here as I thought it was, however I did this based on the youtube video where a guy did it on his Toyota. I thought the part numbers might help some also.
Went to ace hardware and bought two elbows (5/8 x 3/8) part #PL-562. I looked for them black in color everywhere but no luck. Pull out the plug and drill a 5/8 inch hole through the middle. The plastic elbow will thread itself into the plastic and I doubt it would go anywhere (at least mine did). I went ahead and put the nut on the back because I had bought it anyway (that is in the electrical section, the plastic elbow is in plumbing). Measure the hose and cut, attach and you're done. Little bit nicer in appearance than just pulling the plug and throwing the hose out.
On one of my plugs the line-x stayed attached to it. On the other one it separated in one piece.

Nice, I just drilled a hole and stuck the tube through and it's held for 3 years now.

Boost :)
I'll be sure to keep this thread handy if I ever have the need to install my drain tubes. We've had probably 20" of rain since I installed my BakFlip VP and no rain even came through those holes yet, so hopefully I won't need them

LOL, good point. I haven't seen any rain while it's been out of the garage since I've had the cover.
