Default Extended warranty. Yes/No

An extended warranty was offered to me on my 2011 F150 XLT. 7 years but the first three run along with the 3/36 on the new truck. So the 7 years actually goes out 4 years past the 3/36. Leaving the price aside for now what are your opinions about having this coverage?

Yeah, numerous numerous other threads on this topic, including some I've debated and commented in.

Yes, the coverage is from day 1, so think of your ESP purchase as the "extension purchase"....

I got the 72 mos/75,000 PREMIUM CARE package from a Ford dealer (not my selling dealer) for $665. the FORD site was almost double.

what ever package your purchase, make sure its an official FORD ESP,
and not a third party one.

I also got the PREMIUM MAINTENANCE package which covers service @ 5,000 mile intervals for 72 mos/75,000 miles for $990.

WHAT DID YOUR DEALER OFFER THE WARRANTY TO YOU FOR AS IN $$$$$?

There is one thing that I do want to add:

Make *SURE* it is an official Ford warranty, that is honored at any dealership. There are a lot of "warranties" which are just 1 dealer's offering.

I got the 7 year/125,000 mile Ford extended warranty for my truck. I plan on keeping my truck for 10 years, and I like the piece of mind

Yeah, I did add that in my comment . . .

"what ever package your purchase, make sure its an official FORD ESP,

*FORD* ESP's have to be honored at all dealerships.

That was a big decision maker in my purchase..."peace of mind"......
$665 wasn't a bad deal at all, considering one major repair could exceed that!

What is the last point in time which you can buy one of these Ford ESP? Miles, months, before original warranty runs out etc?

Thanks
