I also purchased an extended warranty seven years hundred thousand mile zero deductible.
This was from the Ford dealership a third-party extended warranty and the dealership I bought from was in Delaware and where it serviced in a dealership in New Jersey. The dealership in New Jersey advised they've used it before and compared to Ford's ESP plan. If I don't use it I get all my money back $1500. The security blanket of knowing that you're covered for that timeframe is something that I think is important but many others just go with the factory warranty I think a lot of people don't hold onto their vehicles as long as I do 10 to 15 years.

Just bought mine yesterday. PremiumCare 7/125k w/ $100 deductible from Zeigler thanks to the GREGH discount - love this forum!

Compared prices at Zeigler, Flood, Anderson & Koch, and Lombard and for the plan I wanted, Zeigler was the cheapest by about $20 compared to Flood (Anderson & Lombard were both higher). For the cost, it was an easy decision.

Every thing on the right in BLUE is a computer module in my XLT, higher end models such as Platinum, Harley, Raptor, Limited,.. have even MORE modules.

Peace of mind considering the multiplexed network on wheels we drive these days, it's foolish to NOT get an ESP.

I totally disagree with being foolish to NOT get ESP. Generally getting a ESP is throwing your money away! Many sources will tell you the same thing as I just stated. I will agree however that vehicles are getting more and more complicated and more expensive these days and Ford does offer good prices on ESP. I drive alot for business and have purchased close to 25 vehicles the last 25 years and if I save $1000 per car that is $25,000 in savings. I have only had a couple of major repairs that a ESP would have covered for less than $5000. For me it would have cost thousands of dollars extra to get ESP. This is a conservative figure for my savings because 10-20 years ago most ESP were $1200 to $2000 range.

Thank Bob Cline at Zeigler. He decided to extend the GREGH/$225 off into the new year. I got the $50 ded, so it made it a little cheaper.

My view on ESP's may be a little skewed as a result of being a Ford tech for many years, as I have personally seen hundreds of vehicles where having the extra warranty would have paid for itself on that 1 visit to the dealer.

Would you also call buying insurance "throwing money away"? Because that is what an ESP boils down to, insurance against mechanical and electrical/electronic failure.

Agreed.
A friend of mine had the nav on his Honda odyssey die after 5.5 years. He had the extended B2B from them. The cost of replacing the Nav was way more more than he paid for the warranty. For me I have never owned a vehicle with so many "gadgets". Believe me I am a gadget guy too, but I have been too scared to get a vehicle with gadgets until now. I got the ESP too. so it buys me some insurance. Got it from Ziegler Ford too with the code.
