I didn't see a "spade" connector but there was a "I think" ground wire that was grounded to the body with an eye connector. I unbolted it and taped it up and put everything back. Is this the connector everyone is talking about? I haven't had a frost yet so I can't tell if the mirrors are working yet.. Thanks for the help guys!
Anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance guys!

Try holding a mug of hot coffee or hot cocoa under your mirrors and see if they fog up. Might need to do this in a garage. If they do, then push the defrost button, wait about 2 minutes, and repeat. Or throw a snow cone at them.

Good idea! Although not many snow cones in SC. I really wanted to just make sure that the rear wa disconnected but the mirrors still worked. I hope that was the right one!

in SC as well. Have mine disabled on remote start, and not going to use the defrost at all. First truck with options like this one. Last one was base Dakota. Hoping the windows doesn't decide fo explode on its own.

Still can't tell which side to pull wiring after reading this post driver side or passenger side?
Does your sliding window still work after disconnecting either side?

it’s the passenger side. You will see the connection that you just jump together.

I would do the driver side, just disconnect from ground. Easier, safer. Inspired by reading this, finally just did mine. Took very few minutes.

Thats what I was trying to verify. Where exactly is the ground on the driver's side? Is it a round eye connector on a bolt on the rear firewall? Thanks

I went outside earlier today and spent 5 minutes checking remote start settings and verify off selected. I flipped the pass rear seat forward and unclipped the harness. Don’t really mind if dash button operable or not. Would be nice if mirror heater still works since truck sits outside year round and it’s ice season now.

Side note guy my wife works with has crew cab fx4 and his rear window just popped after years of defroster use. Was enough for me to disable don’t need the headache.
