Unhook it using the bypass method mentioned here. It allows your heated mirrors to work and switch lights still work.

Theres a lot of these...not confined to 2010s either.

Either a) your rear window has shattered or b) your windows rear defrost doesn't work!

one in the same problem? maybe...probably!!!

For those who say bah! just disconnect it or just get a new window...

I paid Ford for this option! Yes warranty is over however this is happening on MANY trucks!

I agree but until they cover the replacement I am not going to chance it exploding.

I have a 2010 XLT 5.4. Looked up fuse 32 for the box in the engine compartment. It is labeled "Heated Backlite". I assume that is the one that everyone is talking about? Assumed it would have been called something else. Like rear defrost or something along those lines.

I'd be "lucky" if my rear defroster actually worked and I didn't have to worry about the dam window exploding!

Any idea where that would be located since there are over 800 mentions of the rear defroster on this thread?
