Now in desktop mode. That 2012 of yours.....several participants in this topic have reported that popping the plug kills the heated mirrors, but apparently they keep working for you. Any idea what might be different about your ride?

Edit: Ignore this post. Lost my mind. The act of pulling #4 relay under the hood is what stops the mirrors from working as previously discussed.

The 2011 wiring diagram indicates the mirrors still have power but the indicator does not.

Anyone got a 2012 diagram?

I didn't pull any fuses. I unplugged the wires at the corner of the window. I've tested the mirrors, there has been frost on them. I push the button and although I don't have an indicator on the button a couple mins later the mirror is clearing.

I don't know what else to say on what makes my truck so magical.

Maybe the 12's are the same as the 11's.

Sounds like it might be so. Anyone with a 13 care to report in?

Mine is a 13 5.0 Lariat. As shown in previous post photos, has two wires to pax side lower corner window. Larger (black) pwr source. Smaller (yellow) goes back to "defrost status indicator". Switch light ??? See photo. When yellow & black are lifted from window tabs, mirrors heat, no light on switch. When black & yellow are off window tabs & connected to each other, mirrors heat & switch light is on. Heat shuts off in 15 minutes on my truck.
Easy to do, no cutting, splicing.

Sorry, TOTALLY lost my mind in the last few posts. (I've now edited them to call awareness to my mistake).

Early yesterday, I edited my instructions to say that such lengths are not necessary for this mod.
