My truck is in the dealership for rear defrosters not working. (Button was not coming on). And a few other warranty items before my bumper to bumper expires.
But they are replacing the glass as I write this. I did not have mine shatter like many others on here, but my VERY own service advisor had his shatter in him last week!!!!

Got my rear window replaced Saturday and the harness for the driver side fog light. Dealer gave me a loaner car (2015 Fusion) for the night. Near as I can tell its the same rear glass that I had before. Sorry forgot to take pictures.

Did you do it or dealer? If dealer, all ford parts have a 2 year unlimited milage warranty but we had them put it in writing.

I posted this earlier in another thread, but my driver side window exploded on Friday due to defrost. I originally called my dealership to see if it would be under warranty, the service advisor I spoke to on the phone had no idea what I was talking about and told me to bring it in and they would look at. Once I get to the dealership a different service advisor helps me , she get all the paper work ready and the camera to take pictures for approval from ford. So I asked her how common this is and she said pretty common, they had one two weeks ago. She comes back in and starts trying to get the approval from ford to do it under warranty only to find out that it doesn't require prior approval anymore, So On Monday afternoon I had my truck back with a new rear window all under warranty. I can't tell the difference between the old and the new glass.

Do you guys think the ground wire is the wrong gauge? The heating element overheats and it causes the glass to break?

The good news is it will be covered under warranty. It is still a huge hassle we should not have to go through this late in the run for this platform.
