I thought that also. But why 3 separate relays? 1 for both, 1 for mirrors and 1 for rear?

Has anyone just unplugged the connection at the rear window, and if so do the heated mirrors still work?

I read in these 22 pages, some people cut the wires and covered them in tape.
I dunno if that messed things up, I didn't read a post saying it did. No fuses are pulled, power is still getting to the switch and mirrors so I would assume yes this works.

Does anyone know if Ford has resolved this problem. Has anyone had it happen on a 2013-2014 F150. Any comment on why Ford Trucks and not all rear defrost Ford vehicles ?

I noticed the rear defrost light not coming on with my '13 and stopped using the button to avoid cracking the glass. Ford confirmed the rear defrost malfunctioned and are replacing mine.

Ok, I know one guy said his replacement shattered as well but was he the only one? Once it was fixed, it was fine? They redesigned it? I read about someone saying the wires were changed and a ground was added.

Did you pull both #4 and #32 fuses? Or just #4?
