LoL. I got rid of my 08 GMC Sierra because it had the dreaded 'oil consumption' issue (off the dipstick in 3-5k miles). Engine was rebuilt under warranty, and 10k later was losing oil again.
So then I bought my F150. It's been decent. Had the CAC stutter once, a day after driving for several hours in driving rain. That was over a year ago. The defrost went out, and that was covered under warranty. Had the double pull issue with the door handle, fixed under warranty. My 13 Explorer, however, seems to be in the shop every 2 or 3 months for different little things. Needless to say my next SUV will not be a Ford as my wife is tired of taking her car to the shop all the time.

I'll give the Eco another year or two and see how it holds up.

Switched it around 180* and ordered a Subaru WRX. Paying down debt with this newer car payment and will enjoy it as a early mid life crisis car. I will just get a small utility trailer to make up for the lack of a bed.

Defrost now works! Ford (or who ever packaged the glass) sent the wrong directions on how to rewire it. Glass guy was here today and was nice enough to show me everything including how to take off the rear seat back. You have to cut out the reed switch (white and small black) and wire those two together and you don't use the yellow wire. Only the upper terminal on the passenger side is used (big black) and there is now a ground wire on the driver's side.

While that might happen, I have noticed that this one is no where near as hot as the old one. That plus adding a ground on the drivers side should keep it from doing it again anytime soon.

Unhappy Back Driver Window Blew out

Mine just blew yesterday morning. Remote started the thing for 15 minutes. Got in it and pulled out the driveway when i noticed it. Not covered under PremiumCare Package Warranty. Ford wants 883. HA no thanks! and they dont even fix it. They have a company come out an do it. Found out who that company was and went straight to them. They have to replace the whole unit and its a 3pc set. But they use OEM an not aftermarket. So thats cool. They quoted me 459. Holding onto my receipt for when a recall comes out. Hopefully it does.

Fords waiting for small children to be maimed before they think about recall.

I just got mine replaced and picked it up last night from Safelite AutoGlass. List price of the glass is $926.35 per Safelite receipt. It's an actual FoMoCo part.

I cringe every time I remote start my truck.
