Exploding rear window
Got in the truck in the morning. Bit of fog on the rear window from the overnight rain. Push the rear defrost button....light doesn't come on. Push it a few more times, still nothing. Ok, whatever, I'll look into it when I get to the shop. Start heading to work and stop at the gas station. Get back in the truck, try it again.....button still won't light up. Start driving. Look down a few minute later and notice the light is on. Ok, cool. Notice minutes later it is off again. Get to work, notice rear window is shattered.
So I got to thinking about this and the compressor fix thread got me thinking also.
If we had a way to lower the voltage/current with a rheostat or something similar. wouldnt that effectively lower how hot the defroster could get. Really we just want to warm the window not cook it and that is why these are breaking.

I was hoping a few different members would post their rear defroster temps like the previous one did.
