Default Exhaust tip

I have a pretty basic 2013 and am gonna start doing some mods to spruce it up a bit...
First on the list is an easy one...new exhaust tip.
Was looking around and wondering what you guys recommend. Also the diameter of the exhaust is 2 3/4"...so do I get a 3" inlet?

What engine you have? 11+ F-150s have 3" tail pipe. At least the Eco and 5.0L does can't say for sure about the 3.7L.

I replaced my OEM tip with a 4" Gibson tip. Got it "used"off Amazon for like $17. When it came in, it was brand new.

Before I installed it I cut about 8-10" of the tailpipe off then installed the tip. This sucked up the tip a little and made it more to my liking. Stock it sticks out to far.

This is the one I got. Damn I stole it at the price I paid. It's stainless and double walled!

Wish I had stolen that one! $17.00,good deal. My truck is race red so I think a black tip may keep with color scheme better. Did you use a hacksaw on the pipe? Is your tip flush with outside of tire?

I've got that black Gibson one above. Very happy with it, and like someone said I cut about 10" off the stock pipe with a sawzall. The black compliments the FX4 nicely, but I'd go with chrome if I had any existing chrome accents.

I used a sawall to cut it.

^ I did the same thing. Cut back the stock tailpipe and put on a 4" Dynomax tip. Looks really nice.
