Default Exhaust suggestions?

Hi forum and happy 4th of July!
I just had a quick question for those of you who have gone to an aftermarket exhaust. What system would you recommend? My friends are suggesting I do a cat delete and go straight back but its a little too loud and I don't want all of that drone because most of my drives are 30 minutes or longer at highway speeds. If it makes any difference, id prefer to go out the sides instead of going out the back.
Thank you all,
Sean

In my 2011 RCab 5.0 I had a local guy weld in a single chamber Cherry Bomb (think Flowmaster 10) and have a slash cut right before the passenger side tire. It sounded awesome! It was loud and droned bad from 63-68 mph but it wasn't straight pipe loud.

Now a little older and a little wiser I would pick something for subtle and refined. There are a bunch of exhaust videos out there it's all opinion what sounds good. I personally like the Magnaflow and MBRP set ups.

I was just watching a video of the MBRP XP 3" and I thought it sounded pretty good. Luckily stage 3 has all of those videos.

That's the one I have. It was a little louder in the cab than I'd like, but have gotten used to it.

I have a Solo Performance single side exit with the Mach 46 muffler. I love it...no drone at all and has some decent volume when you get on it.

i just did a muffler delete on mine. it sounds awesome had a pipe welded where the muffler was and it exits it at the factory tailpipe. I love it. Drive 3.5 hours the same day i had it done and almost no drone at highway speeds. Not to loud but just perfect.

When I lived in California before I move back to New Mexico I had a shop do a 3inch cat back no resonator with a Flowmaster Super 44 in the OEM place. Not to brag but it's one of the best sounding 5.0s I've heard. So clean and deep. Loud enough, it'll set off car alarms. And honestly I don't notice any drone.
