Default Which Exhaust?

I have a 2010 Lariat 5.4l 4x4. I want an aggressive sound. I'm thinking of the 40 series flowmaster or the super 44. I'm trying to figure out which is best. I think I like the original 40 but how loud is it in the cab? Does anyone have the original 40 series flowmaster on there truck and if so what do you think? Or is there something else yall recommend? Thanks.

I've been looking into doing a true duel exhaust on my truck too. I've checked out the video's on youtube and they are great for getting an idea of what it is going to sound like. I think I like the magnaflow better myself. The flowmaster just sounds a bit to radical for my taste. Plus a buddy told me that after a year or so they sound flat??!! I don't know about any of that but....

I would go with Magnaflow as well due to the fact that they come in stainless steel. After a year or so that Flowmaster exhaust will start to rust and look like crap.

I'm looking into getting the banks monster single outlet exhaust in a month or so. Super deep tone not over the top.

Also, stainless steel AND a lifetime warranty. If I'm not mistaken, the Banks exhaust does not screw with any Ford warranty stuff.

This goes for any exhaust system, youTube is your friend. Search your engine and any type of exhaust. 9 times out of 10 you'll find a video.

Just put Flowmaster Super 44 on mine and I love it. You can hear a deep rumble inside the cab...that's what I was looking for. It's not overly loud inside. I can turn the radio up a bit and drown it out. Outside the cab just sounds aggressive. If the muffler wears out in a year, I'll buy another one.

Just installed the cat back flowmaster super 44. I love it. Sounds great plus my 6 month old son falls right to sleep when we go for a ride.

I have the Corsa dB series cat back system on mine (Stainless, 10 yr warranty). When I put my foot in it it will give my folks corvette c6 with the quad Corsa system a run for its money on sound and driving on the highway or around town drone is not an issue. On the flowmasters I think you might have drone (my buddy's mustang did and it drove him to replace them after about 3 months). Magnaflow just didnt sound that great to me on our trucks. But in their defense I was listening to a truck that had the cats deleted so that may have factored in.

Look at straight through systems such as Borla, Magnaflow, and Corsa. You already have a decent flowing system, no need to restrict it with a chambered/baffled muffler.

you asked about the 40 series. I have it, love it, there is drone but if aggressive is what you want, this is it.
