Default Exhaust

What the best way to get my 5.0 to sound like the mustang 5.0 or is there.

would need a true dual exhaust with a crossover, either a H or X pipe. will still not be the same but closer. cams and intake are different from the Mustang 5.0

Probably need a set of Shorty headers also since the Mustang has those from the factory.

As well as the exhaust system architecture. e.g. length, position of muffler(s), etc., etc., etc..

T'ain't gonna happen without extensive trial-and-error and $$$$$.

I say, simply throw on a Borla exhaust system!! Either the S-type or Atak! and delete the resonator! You won't be disappointed! Check youtube on that!

To make it sound similar to a mustang you do not need true duels or headers!! Take it to your local muffler shop and get the resonator taken out and replace the muffler with a smaller one. My truck is loud and I have a 4" round Magnaflow that is 14in long. I have a Y pipe after my muffler then duels out the back with some 18in long tips. not the exact same as a mustang but close.

White08 got closest. The cam overlap and crank pin degrees, compression and firing order (and a few other things) are needed to get that Mustang sound.

Or, you can just buy a crate 5.0L engine and stuff it in your truck. Better yet, just drop the extra cash for a 5.2L flat- crank engine from the GT350! Then you'll have up to 526hp, what kind of fun would THAT be???

Wow was hoping for it to be something simple. Guess I will just go with something else what’s a good sounding system that won’t bankrupt me. Don’t want flowmaster they didn’t last on my last truck. Thanks in advance.
