Error Code P05410
Took the truck to O'Reilly's last night and they put it on scanner. 2 codes confirmed.....
P0014 which I already had.
P054A > new confirmed and is also exhaust timing related. (This was the one that on Saturday the oil change shop was showing as P05410.)
Okay, so thoughts on these two and how critical? I am not a mechanic by any means. Truck not showing any other symptoms related to these two codes that I can tell.
Thought??? My many Thanks!

The rabbit hole goes very deep on this one, best bet to let the dealer diag the problem....
P054A - Cold Start Exhaust (B) Camshaft Position Timing Over-Advanced (Bank 1)
Description: The PCM monitors the variable camshaft timing (VCT) position for an over-advanced camshaft timing during cold start up. The test fails when the camshaft timing exceeds a maximum calibrated value or remains in an advanced position.
Possible Causes: Camshaft timing incorrectly set
Continuous oil flow to the VCT piston chamber
VCT solenoid valve stuck open
Camshaft advance mechanism binding (VCT unit)
Diagnostic Aids: This DTC is a functional check of the VCT unit. Diagnose any base engine concerns related to the engine oil pressure or engine timing. Refer to the Workshop Manual Section 303-00, Engine System, Oil Pressure Test, to check the engine oil pressure. Refer to the Workshop Manual Section 303-01, Engine, Timing Drive Components, to check the engine timing.
Application Key On Engine Off Key On Engine Running Continuous Memory
All GO to Pinpoint Test HK .

I just recently ran into this issue with my truck too. Last week, it was at the dealership as I was having an issue with poor fuel mileage and cutting out with hard acceleration. They ended up putting in new plugs and boots on mine and then the next day I was loosing power and it seemed like when I stepped on the gas, there was nothing there and then it would kick in.
Well, the check engine light kicked on and so I took it back to the dealership figuring they messed something up. Right? I had multiple codes P0012, P0014, P0022, P0299, P054A and P054C.
Their diagnoses? There's oil sludge on the valves and I better think about trading it in.
I drove it today, check engine light still on, and it seems to run fine as far as I can tell. I'm thinking about taking it to another dealership and seeing what they come up with as a fix.
It's strikes me as odd that this comes up right after they worked on it and only replaced plugs and boots.
Also, each visit to the dealership took 3 days, even with an appointment.
