Default engine ticking update

My 2013 5.0 has had a ticking since I got it with 3k miles on it. (hot, not cold)
It now has 25K miles on it.
I change oil/filter at 5K intervals.
New oil,, ticking comes back. 4K miles on oil, ticking goes away.
Can you say oil viscosity?
I'm going to 5W30 on next oil change.

My 2012 has similar if not exact symptoms. No loss of power/no oil consumption, etc. @ 66K miles. I switched to 5w30 and added a quart of Lucas Synthetic oil treatment at every oil change. Ticking went down tremendously. I think in some years of these engines the 5w20 is just too thin. I've taken mine to the dealership a while back and they said nothing out of the ordinary about the tick.

My wife has an 2011 Ford Edge that had a similar tick that the OM required 5w20 oil. Started changing with 5w30 and just like my 2012 the tick went down to almost not noticable.
