Default Engine sound

first thread here but i came to ask questions on a couple things to have peace of mind. i was cruising down the interstate then my expedition started misfiring. i slowed down to only hear loud rattling and clacking under the hood. it said i lost oil pressure but the programmer was still reading 55 psi of oil pressure. the engine didn’t over heat but it kept saying bank 2 and bank 1 were over retarded on timing. a day later i changed the oil and found no metal shavings in the oil and filter. the engine apparently didn’t jump timing from what im seeing because its no longer making that loud sound. only it sounds like the chain is having more slap. would any of you guys happen to know whats going on. if so please respond fast. thank you!
The engine i have is a 5.4 3 valve
