Default Engine shutters

Started out at about 55 engine would shutter it felt like a transmission slip. But it's became very frequent since it started over a year ago. Now it's constantly happening at various speeds. If u let off accelerator and reapply and stay on it it seems to make it stop but definitely getting more frequent. I have 1570000 miles but hope it's not transmission any other ideas?

If it's an ecoboost I think this is why everyone does the weep hole mod and gaps fresh plugs to .030. Like posted above knowing what truck and motor will help a lot

Bad U-joints? My 2000 F150 would get a shimmy/rumble when you let off the gas at highway speeds. U joints fixed it right up.

Exactly right. Every ecoboost needs the intercooler weep hole and new Sp534 plugs gapped to.030. The plugs need changed every 30k miles.

Could be motor, trans, drivetrain, etc. We require more info to help out.

How old are your coils? These devils cause all sorts of sputtering and shuttering as they go bad

Could be as simple as a fuel filter.

It's an ecoboost, so hit the major problem areas first. Do the weep hole, change spark plugs to motorcraft sp534 gapped to .030 and drive it. Rarely do these have coil issues... issues come from the intercooler condensate buildup.

I swear I thought this issue was for the active shutters in front of the grill. FFS! SHUDDER! Notice the "d"!
