Default 2013 f150 supercrew.

Hi I was wondering if a factory bed extender from an 06 f150 can be used in a 2013 F150 super crew? My new truck came without one.

Yes it will. I took mine out of my 04 before I got my 13. I was gonna sell it because I read somewhere it would t fit. But curiosity got the better of me and it actually fits the same exact way in the 13 as it did in my 04

Ok, Great. I want to buy one that was never used on craigslist. Is there any hardware that I need to get from ford? I have a new 2013 and there are a couple holes on the bed back there so thats why I ask.

There are 2 pins, which screw into the sides and act as hinges ... somewhat, similar to the pins that the tailgate latches to.

What is an OEM bed extender going for?

So, I took a look on Craigslist local and found an OEM 2004 F150 bed extender for $50 .. no pivot pins, as the truck had been stolen. He dropped the price to $40, so I had to bring it home. Fits my 2012 STX fine!

A pair of 3/8" x 2" carriage bolts, a pair of flat washers and a 1" long brass bushing, cut in half, ... $3.30 in materials, did the job. The kits are available on eBay for $39.95.

One bolt tightened right up, the second one needed a nut applied to the backside of the bolt, through the tail light hole. ?? Maybe threaded metric or not at all ... the holes were well coated with spray-on bed liner.

It still should have some grommets in the locking pin holes.

I added the last picture, which is what I was most interested in ... to keep things from sliding forward. ... gas cans, beer, Coke, groceries, etc..

That looks great, I like the older style vs. the newer Plastic folding one!

Yes, the newer style look pretty cheap and flimsy.
I did paint the pivot assembly black, but I had grabbed the "flat black" rattle can by mistake, so elected not to include the pic.
