I don't think that would work... It needs to be an open circuit when the hood is closed lol

By all means, please inform me how a contact switch can do normally open when the contacts are touching.

 

You didn't quote anyone. You responded after my reply, so the logical thought is you were talking about the link I posted last, correct?

 

Could just buy this and be done with it.

 

Who else would I be talking to when talking about a contact switch? You're the only one who's said anything about one.

 

*sigh* does this really need explaining... the link I posted last was not for a momentary contact switch, it was for a magnetic switch which can operate in EITHER normally open OR normally closed modes, depending on where you connected the positive wire... which is why, again, you need to read the item description instead of calling people out for it
