Endless search to increase Ecoboost MPG's
First, I know buying a compact car would increase MPG's, and if I wasnt willing to sacrifice MPG's to have an F150, I would of bought one. That being said, I would like to squeeze what MPG's I can out of the truck within reason just the same.
Is there a Gotts type mod for the ecoboost? does it need one even?
Looking at the air intake on my truck Im not seeing where you could mod it like they have examples on here for.
Also is there a silencer in there somewhere that could be removed to increase air flow? Does removing it, if there is, help?
Any other Mods out there yet for the Ecoboost to increast MPG's?

Take some weight off the truck, lower your gear ratio, get lighter weight wheels/tires. There aren't any tuners or intakes for the EcoBoost becuz you have to worry about warranty voiding and the PCM is encrypted by Bosch so not sure on how long till a tuner comes out. Exhaust may help, depends.
Those are just a few ways but your pretty limited on cheap cost effective ways besides gutting your truck of weight.

You are only going to be able to push as much air as the turbos will let you, you could open up the intakes wide open but what the turbos don't allow is dumped via the waste gate. The turbo's ARE the reason for the better mpg.

Almost went for it, untill I saw there were no cup holders...where am I going to put my beer? It just wont do..........
Ya knew not to use the tuner mods, dont want to play around on the new truck introduction, may decide different in couple years when have 60-70k on it and its still solid, but for now not looking to do major mods that may void me in a big way.
Thanks for the info so far.

That little green bar going up and down makes it like a game to get better fuel mileage. I get extra angry at red lights anymore. I have always heard increasing tire pressure helps fuel mileage, not sure if true though.
