Empty space in front of jump seat?

I have searched and found nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas or photos on what they used or placed in the empty space between the dash and front of the jump seat. I would like to put some type of storage there.

Would do a console swap, but I prefer the height of the jump seat as an armrest.

Person's legs who are sitting in the jump seat?

But seriously.....

What kind of storage are you looking for? Factory? Aftermarket?

Lol....we are a family of four and have yet to use the jump seat. Aftermarket or even something someone found in a store that fits in there. Just looking for ideas .

I would prefer something solid so I could hard mount a 5.11 light for life to and then hard wire the charger .

Hi Leo! If your truck has the USB/Line in compartment you barely have any room to put anything if you also use the cupholder drawer under the seat. I also love the seat as an armrest for my daily driving, although it's there for the 6th family member outside my house (yep, where 5 alright! :brows:). I love photography so I usually keep my camera handy inside the bag on that area. it's a nice "general bag storage" area as it's not slippery. How are you thinking on improving this area for your needs?

I did this. It's recently been recovered a different color now to match the new seatcovers. I also removed the latch on the seat so I can still lift it up and access the storage underneath. It also makes it easier to access antenna connections and the multi-pin electrical plug to quickly install/remove the console.

Gregg, that is what I am talking about..that looks great. I am trying for something like that in which I can bolt other items to as needed. Would like to find something pre made from somewhere

It took me about an hour or so to make a template out of cardboard for the sides; another half-hour for the top. I just happen to have the perfect sheet metal laying around, and cut it all out. Then covered it.

I doubt there is anything on the market that will fit that "nicely" in that space, but I could be wrong.

Good luck!! :D
