Electric exhaust CUT-OUTS
Wanted to know everyones input on electric exhaust cut outs. any pics or video posts would be awesome. Also what brand of cut outs are a quality product. Are these cut outs good? bad? or not worth the time and money? thanks...

DMH makes nice ones, and they are sweet. Do it, they are a cheap mod, and sound awesome.

I went with DMH the quality is great and have had no problems what so ever. It is nice to go from nice quiet factory exhaust to straight pipe. The sound is great!

Its funny that everyone on the 2009 & newer forum says that these cut outs are great and everyone on the 2004 to 2008 says dont put them on cuz they leak... I just want them for when I wanna **** off other drivers when I pass them or when I want to be really loud driving in traffic. They do make really nice ones that seal very well when shut I think they are made by QTP quick time performance check it out and give me some feed back thanks

I love my DMH cut out. My wife likes it even more. She hits the switch every time she rolls the raptor. Sound is so nice. It is NOT crazy loud at all...Untill your spooling the 6.2 around 4000-5000 rpm. It sounds so good. Run with it open almost all the time.

I have these also; have had 'em on my truck since early 2010. Love them, and I don't know what y'all are smoking but they are LOUD. I have the truck custom tuned as well, but it is not required. Some side notes: Expect to lose roughly 1.5 mpg with them open (you're eliminating back pressure in a system meant to have it), you will lose low-end torque when they are open but you will gain high-end horsepower. If I'm ever testing the speed against another vehicle, I take off the line with them closed and then open them up once I'm in the higher rpm band for the best torque-horsepower combination.
I have DMH cutouts and I wouldn't buy any other brand. They have a 4 year no-questions-asked warranty on them. One last caveat, I have had mine replaced twice now. The motor went out on both of them because I do a lot of offroading and because of the way I had it mounted. I had it mounted laying up against the frame rail and over time, the hard hits, vibrations, and bumps rattled the motor and caused them to fail. I have since changed the way I had it mounted, and have had zero problems.

Im set on doing this mod to my truck Im just worried about the flap leaking over time, cause everyone hates the sound of a leaky exhaust.
