The MX? That has the tranny temp option…I'm jealous. Please let me know how the tranny temp works…I'd really like to get the MX, but I'd need to sell mine, the hassle, blah blah blah...

I used a piece of textured ABS black plastic for the left side (it's about 3/32" thick), cut it to fit and used a dab of glue to hold it. Be careful not to let glue squish out to front side…won't look good.

The plastic I used…it's good for making instrument gauge faces, etc:

To mount the UG in the Edge Dashpod is a bit of work. It's not hard, just a bunch of tiny, little things to create spacer blocks to hold a backplate that remains removable to mount the UG onto. I could see it in my head when I laid in bed at night. You need to visualize it to make it…kinda weird. You may need to PM me about this, but I wanted to respond to you asap.

After you get yours, if you need, I'll pop mine off and take pics. I can give you measurements as well.

I would really appreciate it if you help me "visualize it". Is possible to just place the UG in the pod and just remove it if you want to change the gauges?

Yes, try placing the UG in with the rubber grommet first. That works. Then let me know if you want the more involved "face touch" install.

When I find a time for it, I'm going to make a minor improvement to the UG/dashpod. I had used velcro to attach UG to backplane, but I'm unhappy with the UG movement…it's not precise…a little sloppy. I'm going to replace the velcro, probably with 3M Dual Lock which should hold the UG more securely with almost no slop. But the Dual Lock is thicker than the velcro…so some re-engineering/re-buildinlg will need to occur.

But I'm also hardwiring my iPhone to charge through the electrical system, attaching a portable compressor in the engine bay, and possibly another mod or two.
