Ecobooster experts, please advise!
My 2013 EB is a Max Tow. I went out with boat today and 2 things I couldnt figure out. First, I hooked trailer up and when I got back in truck to set brake controller is was saying "No Trailer Connected". What gives, my wiring was plugged into the connector, shouldnt the truck know that a trailer has been connected? Second, in tow/haul mode as I was cruising(flat road) to 60-65 it sat in 4th sometimes and 5th, it occasionally went to 6th if I let my foot off accelarater. Seems I had to do it just to get it into 5th. I know computers control everything, is this something that needs to go to dealer to program transmission to shift accordingly. Please offer any input. Thanks

One is a Trailer controller issue and the other is a transmission issue.. Non of the problems are really Eco related all F150 use the same trans and trailer controller..
Now on to your problems that are not eco related
Are you using the new round fitting or an adapter? I know the adapters can cause issues..
The tow haul mode holds gears much longer it is part of the program. Likely theirs no issues

My guess is the poster having an EcoBoost thought that with all the low end torque and fanfare about the EB that it would pull much easier and run in 6th gear no problems, only to find it hunting for gears. He didn't realize it wasn't EB related. Is this correct Truck Owner?
Since it's still under warranty, I would be taking it in to be checked.

Depends on speed, gearing , weight, and aero, to whether or not its going to sit in any given gear. The eb isn't a mythical creature, it still has to abide by physics.

I doubt your boat trailer has e-brakes thus the computer has no idea you have a boat on. In the section where it says no trailer you can hit okay to add a trailer then save it. Then when you connect that trailer you just select it and away you go. You can also specify trailer weight I think. Been a long winter forget all the steps. Depending on the weight of your trailer it may never go into overdrive (6th). Although my sub 5000lb boat never seemed to stop it from going into 6th.
Actually despite the others I'd say this is an Eco issue, as we all know the 5.0 could never tow a load into 6th gear!
