I did the weep hole today - not a drop out of it.

Yes - all 3.5 ecoboost engines need this weep hole. It will keep any accumulation from affecting spark, so zero chance of misfire. You will have a vastly better ecoboost ownership experience with this.

It seems to be more of an issue in humid areas and I only see a few humid days a year. I removed the intercooler on my 2011 to clean it and drill it and it was bone dry so I just reinstalled it.
I drilled the intercooler on my 2014 without removing it and nothing came out.

Yes, I get that but being I live in Florida, I figured I'd see something out of it. 2011 FX4 with 52k on the clock.

IMO there is zero negative effects from drilling the weep hole, drill it and forget it...

look at it like this, you may have had condensation in the past and not even know it. there is massive amounts of air flowing through the intercooler and by design the air is being cooled as it flows through the intercooler which will cause condensation if the air has enough moisture content, drive a few miles down the road to a area that the air is dryer and the condensation evaporates out of the intercooler.

Hi, and this is why I won't be drilling a weep hole in my truck. If I lose an engine while under my basic, or extended, warranty due to condensation, I will consider this mod after my warrantees expire.
Posts number 12, 14, 15, and 16 show me that most people don't need this mod.

I live in Central Virginia and we have all mixes of weather. I drilled my '13 last March at 40k miles and I'm sure glad I did. It spit fluid every time I drove it for 7-10 days after and still covers the back of the air dam on road trips, in the rain, etc. I did remove the CAC blocking plates at the same time I drilled and my temps at the throttle body are around 20degrees higher than ambient in all conditions...less on cooler days.
I never had a shudder that caused a CEL but I do know that the truck made runs through high boost with some hesitation (imagine the feeling of traction control interfering at 60mph +) and since the hole I've experienced none of that.
Drill it. You'll be thankful later.
