ecoboost upgrade?
i just purchased a 2013 150 quad cab with the ecoboost. the pickup came with a exhaust and intake. just wondering what else people done. this pickup came with every option imaginable imo, but just wondering if anyone done anything crazy like bigger turbos or anything internal. plans are to pull some trailers or a possible toy hauler.

Congrats on your new truck. It's a crew cab and run a search on engine or turbo mods, your are bound to find something to get more out of your truck, but I bet w tuner would work just right.
Congrats on the new truck. What intake and exhaust does it have on it? Did you buy through a dealer or private party?
just get a tuner and call it a day.
I will have a tuner for sale very soon if you want one at a discount. SCT 3015. PM if interested.

We have some excellent performance options available for your truck. We offer upgrades from mild to wild such as a tuner with our colder thermostat which makes an amazing difference , or for the wild customer's vehicles, built engines with forged internals, CNC ported heads, methanol injection, etc. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...c5a5444208.jpg Click here for more information on our Ecoboost built engines from StreetlegalTV.com Our custom dyno tunes delivered via handheld Mycal tuning device can get that truck to almost 500 ft lbs of torque at the wheel as is. We have a local customer / forum member that posted his dyno sheet after coming to the shop to see what his truck made on the dyno. With just a cold air intake , our 93 Xv1 performance tune, and our 160 degree thermostat his truck made a tire shredding 390 whp and 491 ft lbs tq at the wheel. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...2a18016426.jpg Feel free to give us a call for more information or to place an order as well. www.livernoismotorsports.com 313-561-5500 info@livernoismotorsports.com |
sorry to bring stuff back from the dead...been gone for a long while from here, has anyone done any internal work for their ecoboost?
Did you not see the post literally right before yours? Ask them, they have done it.
Also the limit to towing is not your engine, it is the GVWR. |
yes i did read the message above me, just wondering if anyone else did that is not a company.... they look cool and mean that is for sure when all is said and done. still reading the website on the build now

Go ask the drag racing guys and see if anyone has.
+1 I recommend the Livernois tune. Several options available.
now when i read this it looks more like the ecoboost in the SHO. or am i just miss reading it?
To me a big downside of the Livernois tunes are the tuner. It doesn't do anything more than load the tune, to my knowledge, whereas the SCT X4 can display gauges, DTCs and change settings, which is a nice bonus. Plus the Livernois tuner has little resale value once you are done with it.
