Ecoboost Stall/condensation problem fix on the way
Hopefully this is true. Any Ford people on here that can verify the article?

If I owned a Ecoboost, even if you don't get the issue. I would get this done so that if in the future you are ever in a situation which causes this issue you don't have to worry about it.

I experienced this issue for the first time last week on a rainy 50 degree drive. After cruising on the interstate in the rain for about 2 hours, I swung into the passing lane to go around a car and was doing about 70. I hit the gas to pass and completely lost power while I noticed the tranny dropped to 4th gear and the RPM's spiked to 4-5K. It then started slowing down and shuddering at around 60 MPH. I coasted awhile and was later able to resume speed. Fortunately I had read about the issue here and wondered if it would happen as this was my first long drive in steady rain. There were never any warning or check engine lights that appeared on the dash. I tried to re-create the issue the next day on the drive back home but it was a clear sunny day and the truck ran fine. My truck was manufactured the end of May and I had 3,500 miles on it at the time. I have the deflector shield and I also have a grille in the IC bumper hole. Scary. Guess I'll have the dealer check it when I get my oil changed here soon.

Upon issue of the TSB I know that mine will go in for the CAC. It currently has the shroud fix with the flashed update. So far the shudder has not returned. However, I am not going to let Ford off on this CAC replacement. As others that have had this problem have noted, going down the freeway and passing, or on a two-lane and passing when this problem hits could be life altering. This is a serious issue so I will take advantage of the fix for my own safety as well as that of the next person who will eventually buy my truck.
