I don't think Ford would sell a truck that can't drive in the snow.

We had a solid sheet of ice on Xmas eve in MI. Took 1.5 hours to go 40miles. I had a hard time in 2x with rear slipping. 4x was better but still can't steer worth beans on ice. But it was fine going slow in 4x. Now in snow no trouble. Just don't drive like a dork.

Now for fun turn off traction control when you corner and give the pedal a little hit. Weeeeeeeee.
Be safe

A 2-wheel drive in Canada? What were you thinking?

Its easy driving 2wd. just get a good set of winter tires and take the stupid traction control off. I never used weights and never had to either. we got about a 30 cm dump of snow here and i have not got stuck once. Just use your truck momentum and look where you want to steer and you should be okay. I used 2wd all my life and barely ever got stuck. So long as you dont do something dumb of course and expect it to climb a mouton lol. I like 2wd cause the back end drifts and its actually a lot of fun if one learns how to control it. The only thing im scared and hate is freezing rain

17" last week and no problems. Did have the "fall on it's face" issue once on a very long trip to the UP. Only time I've ever had that problem.

It's not just the traction. Resale value is actually comically ridiculous. I'm trying to deal on a truck for down here for our vacation place in California..it's not even worth it to buy here. I've got a leed on a 2008 FX2 loaded for $12,900. 63k kms. Another is an 09 XLT 2wd supercab loaded with 110k for $10k. 4x4's hold their value, 2WD's DO NOT.

We have 6 inches of snow on our 300 yard drive which winds up the hill through the woods. Little bit worried when I went down, if I could make it back up but no problem. Will be testing it big time starting tomorrow when we head out on a 1600 mile trip.
