When I replaced my plugs I went with NGK. Maybe I'll try the Motorcraft and see if that helps. I will give the ecoboost a little bit of a pass, in that I am running 35" tires so I know that is throwing the gearing off. The weird thing is I've had this truck and tire combo for well over a year now and just in the last month has it been giving me problems with lag and bogging down.

If you birds would get a tune and get rid of Fords de-rating programs you'd never get anything but an ecoboost. Your hesitations, won't downshift when punching it, can't get my head to bang off the headrest when I punch it at 60, etc. etc. would all disappear after you put a good tune in. These engines are capable of enormous HP and torque. You can't imagine how bullet proof they actually are when hacked.

Hmmmm.... is this a magic tune that gets rid of the intercooler condensate buildup and and prevents cam phaser rattles/failures?

No magic to it. You drill the 1/16" hole and away goes your condensate buildup problem. Put some primo oil in, take care of the engine and you can run at least 200k with no cam phaser problems. That is experience I have had with mine. I don't drink anyone's kool aid. Too much sugar

I got 110k km on my truck original plugs. I've only changed the oil and air filters. I have run the truck hard. It still runs strong and peels out on command.

My friends 2011 has even more km on original plugs.

What am I doing wrong?

Shouldnt my ecoboost be a POS by now?

Oh wow my truck has 122k and I bet its bad.. it idles like crap. So you drill using a 1/16 bit but where exactly do you drill and do you just leave it open? Zero issues with boost? What about noise while driving? if I drill this and it starts to whistle ill be pissed! Also, If someone HAD to couldn't think install a one way valve?

Just bought a 2012 XL ecoboost. Replaced timing chain, oil pump, fuel pump, new cam sensor, new plugs, a bad coil, and got the right oil runnin through it. Did a master reset on the computer as well, per Ford recommendation. Still delayed acceleration and not at full potential...laggin for sure. Guess I need to drill that weep hole, gonna fix my problem? This thing should be top notch after this massive tune up. My mechanic did say the cat converter had a little build up.

Do you think that anyone would drill that hole if it whistled?
Do you know how much air is flowing through those two turbos in comparison to a 1/16" diameter hole? Very very little. I couldn't see a difference before and after using my SCT to watch it. All the hole will do is keep moisture from building up and flooding the engine when you punch it and go to maximum boost. And yes, it will stuff a cat up. I had my driver side cat replaced under the tsb because it was ruined, plugged up.
The hole doesn't cure all the ills that may be out there, but it sure as heck cures the moisture in the CAC.
