Ecoboost CAI or not???
I have that itch again...No not the one in my pants... I am thinking of getting a CAI for my 2012 ecoboost but cannot decide if it's a good idea or not, and also what kind to go with. I am tuned with Livernois currently, and am very happy with performance (but who doesn't want more power) I would however like to hear the turbos a LITTLE bit more, as I am coming from a diesel truck and miss that some. I am also contemplating on going with an exhaust, but really not sure that I like the sound of any that I have heard so far... I need some opinions guys??? Thanks.

Check out the SEMA Eco build thread (https://www.f150forum.com/f70/heavy-...pgrade-172309/) that Full-Race Motorsports is working on. Geoff from Full-Race said, "A tune can help, but it is equally or more important to do a basic exhaust and air filter upgrade. This should be considered mandatory when modding!! The stock EB exhaust has 7.5psi backpressure post turbine - that is CRAZY high. Going to a 3" exhaust alone is the way to go for these engines (any larger does nothing but rasp and drone, sound like an unhealthy honda)
note: I am not a fan of aftermarket intakes, instead i prefer drop-in replacement filters into the OEM airbox (like the AEM)".
Hope this helps you out...

I did intake and tune, catless y pipe and exhaust is next. Whatever intake you get you'll be happy with I'm sure of that, I wanted a bit more flash so I went with the Injen intake

Nope not me..used to take my 04 f150 show truck into the dealership all the time for warranty work and never had a problem. 14" of lift and 40's : ) And nothing on that truck was stock. Then again they all loved seeing that truck roll into the dealership. It really all depends on the dealership too. Also as bad as this sounds what they don't know won't hurt so don't volunteer to say hey look at me I've got a tune that puts out over 100 ft lbs of torque

I ordered an afe stage 2 CAI through jason at afe(he's on the forum) gave me a pretty sweet deal, plus the cleaning kit. Also have a catback 4" exhaust on order with that CAI, and just ordered the Solo Performance 3" downpipe as there is a groupbuy going on right now(high-flow cats/or resonators, check it out in the vendor showcase!)
