Part of the Limited's problem is the 22" wheel, which is heavy, plus those Cooper tires that are what, 52 pounds? That's about 11 pounds per wheel heavier than stock. But they do look good IMO lol.

I agree with a lot of the posts here. I have an 11 ecoboost lariat 4x4 loaded etc. Leveled with duratracs 34k miles I average about 15mpg best is pushing 20 if I drive 50-55 but that doesn't happen often. Lol. Worst was 7mpg pulling 11k pounds for 5hrs with cruise set on 80!! But it pulled it great awesome power. Yeah sometimes I get frustrated that it won't get 20mpg. But I drive it!! Smoked a 6.7 cummins the other night and at times like that I don't care what the mileage is

I guess Ford stopped putting the 6.2 in the limited. I have a 2011 with the 6.2 and I get about the same mpg as my friend with her 2011 Lariat with the EB engine. She's got a heavy foot though. Mine averages around 15. I have got 17.5 on the interstate if I keep it under 70.

I think tire size and weight has a big thing to do with bad mpg

Hey gang,

Since this is a hot topic, I recommend checking out our tips for improving your fuel economy with EcoBoost technology. Here's a link: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conten...=1239636411265

I think this started out as a Limited that got poor fuel economy? Does anyone have a Limited that is getting the higher fuel ecomomy numbers? I'm also getting around 15.0 mpg lifetime with 5000 miles on mine now. I'm wondering since most of the limited's in this thread are getting very close to that if it is not the nature of the beast on how these trucks are spec'd as a Limited? I can see a lot of truth to the rim/tire combo, gears, weight, etc that are common to the Limited.
