I can never understand the whole sound thing...it "sounds" like a V8???
Is it like a magical sound? a bravado sound? a rompy sound?

I mean choosing one over the other for performance issues and experiences with each engine I get, but for sound?

It is. The Ecoboost is also a car motor, as is the 3.7. Argument invalid.

Haven't seen this EB troll for some time they kick you from the SSI forums?

FYI rdkev was having truck issues and many people were bashing on him. A quick search can find that out. Interestingly enough his profile says he was online here today so he still lurks but doesn't post.

Just to list a few.

To the OP do some homework on your engine choice all you're going to get here is my <insert engine type here> is the best.

Some of you ecoboost mo's crack me up! You guys act like the 5.0 can't get out of its own way...lmao

OP, I drove both extensively before purchasing and ended up with the 5.0. First and foremost, I liked the way it drove better than the Eco. Second, was all the little issues that seem to come with the Eco. Now I know I will get bashed and the Eco swingers will say it's only a fraction of trucks with issues, but still, there seems to be many more issues with the Eco than the 5.0.

Also, if speed is your main goal I would still say go with the 5.0 hands down. Bolt-ons and either a blower or some spray and you'll decimate. Quite frankly, I think buying a truck with speed as a main priority is *** backwards, but whatever tickles your fancy. If I wanna go fast I'll jump in my 600hp Mustang...

Hahaha minivan motor thats cute
My sister had a 5.0 in her 1985 mustang gt, it was bad *** indeed...30 years ago!!
It's 2014 welcome to the future. Fords all-in on the ecoboost for a reason. The 5.0 was built for the MUSTANG not a truck, they just provide it so the rednecks can hear that V8 rumble. I can have over 400 hp and 500 ft/lbs for under $500 in upgrades. Try doing that with your car engine...
