Default EcoBoost 5.4??

I have a 2009 4X4 with the 5.4 engine with a little over 90k miles. I bought the truck with 25k miles and, knock on wood, it's never given me any major problems. I have tuned the truck with a performance and towing tune for 93 octane fuel which woke the truck up tremendously mainly because of the shift changes the tune made, but I still want more! I worked at a Ford dealership for about 6 years and got to drive a lot of trucks. I loved the response with the EcoBoost trucks and would love that kind of response in my truck. I don't care a thing about horsepower, I mainly want torque. I know with upgrades the horsepower will go up, but I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted, for lack of a better term, an EcoBoost 5.4? Basically I want to know if anyone has ever tried a turbo set up like the EcoBoost trucks have on a 5.4 V8? I want my low end torque quick for towing and such and the torque curve to be more flat. I know the 5.4 will have to be rebuilt one day so why not EcoBoost it?! LOL

Add a little forced induction with a TVS supercharger. http://www.stage3motorsports.com/200...rchargers.html

The roots or screw type supercharger will best meet your requirement for low end, immediate throttle response.

Have you considered doing a gear swap to 4.10 or 4.56? It could be the change is torque you're looking for.

E bay has a turbo kit for the 5.4, would need bigger injectors and a custom tune on a dyno ..would be lots of fun!!

I had the eforce put on my 09 5.4 back in march, lots more low end. Can hold 6th gear much better at highway speeds. Pulls real hard up till it hit the speed limiter.
It will burn them thru 1st if I floor it. Thats with wheels off a raptor(34.5"x12.5" about 100lb each) and 3:55 gears. I havent gotten a dyno tune yet. This is with the edlebock 50 state emmisions tune that came with it on the sctx4
