ECO GVWR vs 5.0L GVWR
I looked at and drove 2 similar 2013 trucks today. 5.0L with package 301A and Chrome package and the ECO had package 302A. The only difference is that the 302A package has the plus package and trailer tow brake controller.
The Ecoboost engine truck had a GVWR of 7200 lbs and a payload of 1400 lbs while the 5.0L had a GVWR of 7350 lbs and a payload of 1630 lbs. Both truck had a front axle rating of 3750 lbs and a rear axle rating of 3850 lbs. My 2010 5.4L truck has these same axle ratings and shares the 7200 lbs GVWR.
Why does the 5.0L have a higher GVWR when mechanically, there's no difference to the Eco?

hmmm... the guy who determined the GVWR must had been the same guy that didn't put a handle on the driver side to get in and out.
it's a good question, mike.

Keepin' the lights on!
I believe it is because the eco weighs more.
