Question Eco Battery Issues- anyone else?

Okay have a '11 Eco SCrew 4x4 with 50,000 miles. Bought it new.

This week replaced the battery for the third time. The original lasted 2 years, then the second one went out last week and I finally got it in to dealer yesterday.

Each time the Synch goes nuts and then the ISO for Charging System/Battery comes on. I drive it for the day and it recharges the battery. Then after sitting for a day or two the ISO pops back up again. When the Synch starts to act up for more than three days then I know it is time to take it into the dealer.

Got the same song/dance...nothing wrong with truck, just a bad battery. Really?

So far the dealer has covered all costs - I'm just out the battery this time. Anyone else same related issues?

Read up on all the other battery threads. You have something else going on. I think one of the other threads cornered it to a bad gauge cluster.

Thanks. If find a link or you recall name of the thread let me know. I've spent quite a bit of time searching/reading and not come across this yet. But perhaps I'm not looking in the right place.

that's weird, dude. I have a 2011, bought new, and I'm still on the factory battery. I wanted to replace it, but even when cranking to start, the battery voltage drop was within spec. have 53k and a 5.0L. charging issue??

Quirt ...
There is no such thing as an EcoBoost battery.
  • EcoBoost is an engine assembly.
  • EcoBoost is not a model, trim, cab, wheelbase, or nx4 drive selection.
As for the battery going dead - Possible causes ...

Wow, thank you. I'll print this out and take to my dealer today! This is very valuable. And thank you for the clarification and feedback regarding my use of of the term Ecoboost. I'll never-ever make that mistake twice. This is a very valuable Johari Window learning moment!
