Eco Battery Issues- anyone else?

So I went to the dealer today. We immediately eliminated a number of items from gDMJoe's list. But there are five specific items pertaining to the BCM that caught the eye of my Service Advisor and his Service Manager. Thank you again!

So...as a follow up. Took the truck in back in Oct per my last post. As I mentioned they told me they'd like to explore some of the options per gDMJoe's list. They said to bring the truck in when I had time to be without it. So I took it back in yesterday so they can run a three day over-the-holiday study. According to Ford they wanted them to let my truck sit until the battery tanked and they can register it on a computer. Unbelievable. So I have no choice but to play by their rules and go without my truck. Hopefully they'll figure this out.

More than likely your battery failures are normal. Modern batteries don't last more than a couple years in many cases. My 2013 is on it's 2nd battery, my daughters 2012 honda is on it's second battery.

I have my radar detector set to give me voltage as the default reading. I noticed that sometimes it read 14.5 vlts and then at other times low at 13.5 vlts without changing anything else like a/c.
I have a feeling the battery is gonna crap out on me. My '12 mustang battery only lasted 2 yrs so it wouldn't surprise me as I'm 2 yrs into my truck. Batteries don't last like they used to. I remember my '96 Gt's battery lasted like 6 or 7 years.

My situation is more than the battery being defective or dying. The problem is a three month old 850 cranking amp battery (as well as the prior two) are indicating low and in need of a charge after a few days of mixed city/country driving. Also If I leave the truck parked for two days like I did this week of camping then Sync shuts down to conserve power and I get a level one ISO indicator warning on the dash saying I have a low battery in need of charging. Somewhere on this truck is a constant drain that is beyond the capacity of the battery after a few days of sitting or short drives; hence some, therefore, have indicated the BCM isn't working correctly. Hopefully this three day parked test/study will prove my theory and narrow down the cause(s).

I had simular issues with my battery in my 2013. It would be good for weeks / months, than all of a sudden it would be dead. Took it back to the dealer and they replaced the battery twice. It started happening again after the second battery. They did all kinds of tests and could n't find any problems. One day it was at the dealer and a regional service tech was there for something else and they ran the issues past him. He was able to diagnose the problem within 10 min. Turned out to be the ignition switch. When the key was removed the switch didn't recognize it was removed and the computer would stay energized and would drain the battery.
Since the switch was replaced not a single problem.

Update. Well the battery drain test over the three day new year holiday proved my hypothesis right. It validated my claim. The level 1 low battery ISO indicator popped right up when they went to start it this AM and the battery was indeed down. So now they're resetting the PCM, did something else, calibrated something (I wish I understood this stuff better), and now letting it sit again overnight again tonight to verify. Not sure if the flashed the BCM. I told them about the hot ignition. But I think they just do what Ford directs them to do honestly.
