There have been many questions about how to mod the TRS H13 relay harness to add the ford OEM projectors to our trucks. i took BarryT82's info and put it into a more visual diagram for all to use.

Just let it be noted there are a few different ways to get the battery + and - to the lights. This is just one way.

Comments welcome i will update this if needed and update it here in the first post so there is no need to dig to find the most up to date diagram.

Yes the trs uses smaller than #12 wire but I was not going to buy two wire type. Use 12 all wil be good

Get ready for multiple PM's asking for you to explain it or if it'll actually work because someone read somewhere else that the connections are different. It works! Make the connections just like I posted them and yes you do have to connect the red wire from the module to the battery. If you don't want to add the inline fuses to save $3 and risk frying your $1k investment that's all on you. End rant!

Yea I figured the picture approach might save you some questions.

Thanks for the info to start with by the way

I'm hoping that's not what happened to mine. Like I said, there were only 2 inline fuses on the harness I bought. After connecting a loose wire on the poorly-put-together harness, the lights worked great for about 2 weeks, then all of a sudden, they both stopped working. I haven't even tried them out again because I just popped in the old halogens and have been waiting to build my own harness.

It seems you guys used different size wires (16GA v. 12GA). What gauge are the pigtails and TRS harness? I think I'll just match those.

Built my harness today and it works great! It's not it the most professional looking one, but all the wires are soldered and shrink-wrapped together.

The old harness had two 25A fuses, now it has three 20A.

Thanks again! Can a moderator please make these instructions a sticky?

Glad to hear you get it up and working. The professional look with wire loom and shrink wrap takes practice.

Lets see those new lights!

The wire on the TRS module is 22 gauge I believe. 16 is big enough as it's much bigger than the TRS wiring.

I agree but as I stated above rather than buy two type of wire I just bought #12 which is what is needed for a 20A circuit. Ie what your running to the batter and ground for each light
