This might be a stupid question but oh well..

When using e85... do I need to run the tank empty of regular? Can you have 1/2 tank of regular and top off with e85? Can you switch between it and regular whenever you choose? How does this work?

I think they are closed for the season. The wife reminded me we had free tickets to go and I totally forgot.

You in Kimball?

As I said in my opening post, I have no experience with the stuff. I'll be breaking out the manual soon to see what it says, but instinct tells me to use as much of the non-E85 as reasonable first. A 50-50 blend of E85 and E10 wouldn't really be E85.

There is a sensor that will detect the fuel and then the computer will switch mode depending on the fuel. Unsure how it works or what % ethanol it requires to switch.

The owners manual also states to change the oil sooner if you are running E85. That's why I haven't ran it myself, even though it is $1 cheaper here. I get the impression that it is alot harder on the vehicle. But let us know how it works for you!
