This is more of a curious inquiry than anything. My son has an 09 STX. Its in overall good condition but certainly has its fair share of bumps and bruises. One thing that was pretty noticeable when we got it was that the front bumper upper valance had been repainted and is a shade or two off of the rest of the truck but i never gave it much thought. Recently I purchased some touchup paint just to hit some of the more noticeable chips and marks around the truck. His paint code shows as E4 which is Vermilion, however the touch up paint is also a slightly different shade (darker) than the rest of the truck. It actually is a closer match to the valance. Has anyone else had issues with paint matching on this color? I know there are always variances of OEM colors but everything I've found on online paint sites shows the same color and code so Id assume id get the same slightly darker color if I ordered. I may just check with the local shop and have some custom mixed, but I was just curious if anyone else has had similar issues with this paint code?
