Simplest way to do this would be to isolate the wires that send the signal to the locker. Install a switch and you will probably be able to lock out the rear end whenever you want regardless of the 4wd switch setting.

Now, if there are sensors that tell the transfer case if the rear end is locked or not, you may need to fool those sensors into believing it's never locked....idk...just depends on how it's wired and which part of the truck ultimately decides that it's ok to lock the rear based on all the other factors and positions of things.

Do you have to do any wire splices or is it plug N play? Do the connectors on the swwitch match up?

I'd like to keep my switch factory if possible

I'm working on doing this as well. I ordered the parts and they should be here Friday. The Raptor switch and transfer case control module should do the trick after looking at the wiring diagrams. This will be a comlete bolt in, no programming needed for the module. I'm a tech at a Ford dealer and buying the parts at cost plus 10% is only about $140. I'll let you all know how it works.

Well I know the locker itselft is a simple on off, so all you would truely have to do would be find out wich wires are for the locker on the top of the diff and splice into them run a simple switch from there to the cab and bam done. Although eaton and auburn have wireing kits for there specific lockers. I would NOT go hacking up the factory system but I would wire a separate switch that can be hidden when needed.

dlh4x4...please let us know how it goes. Take pictures and document it if you can. I can see a lot of F150 owners wanting to do this mod, me included.

Stock F150 FX4 come with an electronic locking rear diff. However, it does not allow you to lock the rear while in 2wd. Only in 4hi and 4low will it allow the rear to be locked.

These guys want the ability to lock the rear in 2hi which is the purpose of this thread.
