I think it has to be pressed down when the movie is playing and the vehicle in drive. It should then ask if you want to disable the security feature.

EDIT:

I found the following link to bypass the restrictions on early generation navigation ('08 and earlier).

http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-4...-system-3.html

I think the earlier video I saw was the lock pick menu. The poster did not mention it.

Sorry, you're right that is for second camera. You should contact them though about your question. They've been very helpful with me.

Default this is to everyone trying to figure out how to watch a DVD while driving

Look people, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! I FIGURED IT OUT!!! don't go buying expensive devices that require you to take the dashboard apart and pull the radio unit out. I have a 2010 f150 platinum. I know this works in my truck, I can't speak for other years or modles but I suggest that you give this little hack a try! All you have to do is, VERY LIGHTLY press the parking brake until it clicks one time ! The parking brake light will show up on the dash ,but the brake itself will not be applied unless you mash it down hard .....just press it until it clicks once .the light will come on but you can still drive even at an idle .that's it! Put a DVD in press brake LIGHTLY until it clicks ONCE , put the truck in drive and go. DVD will play no problem in full screen just fine.......your welcome!

Default Park brake hack

Only problem with my parking brake method is you can't use your cruise control system while the truck thinks the parking brake is engaged .

That, and it probably is engaged slightly, shortening the life of your brake.

only way know for sure would be to put the truck up on Jack stands, put it in neutral, and see if you can spin a rear tire by hand. Your welcome to give it a try .let me know if someone tries it and see what they find out . If the brake is applied slightly then it's probably not a good idea to use this method.
