I think you found them loud because jeeps have no sound deadening. Even wind noise is friggin loud in those things

I run Duratracs on my Bronco which is my daily driver. They are great tires, I'd recommend them.

You might be able to save some $$$ and get the Kelly Safari's. They are the Goodyear Duratrac rebranded.

well it was an '05 Grand Cherokee Limited with a Hemi and all of the bells and whistles... haha but it was definitely tire noise. the Duratracs were on it when I bought it and had worn unevenly and had one hell of a howl. the noise was gone once I replaced them with Toyo Open Country A/Ts. but like I said, it seemed like they were just a junk set, they wouldn't stay balanced. and most everyone I've ever talked to has never had the issues that I did.

Most tires seem to get louder when they start wearing unevenly, especially ATs and MTs. It sounds like the PO didn't rotate them on schedule, or ran them with some worn front end parts, or it needed an alignment which caused them to start wearing uneven.

I had them in 295/65/18 on my Superduty, and just put them on my new F150 in a 285/60/20. They are good tires!!!!! I would also look at the Kelley Safari TSR!! I had them on my last F150 in a 275/70/18 and loved them I would be running them now if they made them in a 20.

How do you like the toyos? Local shop here seems to love them. They reccomend them over duratracs and bfg.
