Ok…I’m at a loss…2012 HD, 6.2…dual zone climate control…blowing cold air from the pass side, hot air from the drive side…replaced actuator by the drivers foot, and the one behind the radio, TWICE…(new part started clicking)…fan speed is good…help…it’s hot in Miami

 

Ford or Dorman part?

 

it is a dorman part. Orielly didn’t have the parts I needed. (They have mastercraft). The original parts are oem.
im worried it’s the bottom one…

 

not sure what the procedure is, or if it even applies here. But I seem to recall there is some sort of recalibration that may need to be done once they are replaced.

 

If the actuater was installed in the correct orientation, it will self-calibrate on it's own once you turn the key on. After you install the actuator, just turn your key to on, You'll here clicking sounds. It calibrates everytime you turn the truck on. Some say to wait thirty seconds for the first time after you install an actuator. Don't know if that's true or not. Did one on mine last summer. After I installed it I just turned the key and waited till all the clicking stopped. Been working fine since. I used OEM. These systems are finicky, Only use Ford OEM actuators. Mastercraft is not Ford OEM. Motorcraft and FoMoCo are genuine Ford parts.

 

DId you apply power to it while it was not installed?
