Not really only first hand knowledge with chicken poop. The odds of his having chickens in the yard are slim to none but the ole owl could be roosting in a tree just above the bedliner. Chicken - Owl both are birds and would interpolate that one bird's poop is as slick as another bird's poop!

Had a drop in, and it was very slippery when wet. Current truck has the factory spray in and it's better but stuff still slides around, I thought it would be grippier. Had a DeeZee bed mat in my 2000 and it was the best. Stayed in place, nothing slid and it was never slippery. I'm going to be getting a DeeZee for my current truck and put it in over the spray on.

Why? Because a spray-in gets chunked and scraped if stuff gets tossed in the back (gravel, blocks, rocks, etc. - you know, the reason real men have trucks...)

If something even a little heavy or sharp gets dropped in the bed with a spray-in, your bed is dented. A drop-in will make the heavy object 'bounce' and protect the bed much better than a spray-in.
^^ This! We got the drop-in on ours for these reasons. Love it so far. Use tie-downs to keep things from slipping.

I sprayed the bed with fluid film, then installed the drop in liner. I have an F 150 Bed mat on the floor to keep items from sliding. It works for me.

My 2000 F150 had drop in from new until I sold it last year. No rust!!!
It was slippery and everything not secured would slide around.
Current truck has spray in. Not quite as slippery as the drop in but still must secure items or they slide.
Now have a BedRug and it is great.

I use mine for hauling all sorts of stuff like kayaks, canoes, bikes, firewood, rocks, mulch, gravel, dirt, and also clean it up for camping. I went with Line-X plus the Ford mat. I think it gives me the best protection and is very easy to clean.

I think it depends on what your main use is for your bed and also personal preference. I think if it was between the spray on or drop on, I'd go spray on.

I have the bedrug and that suits my needs. It definitely has its benefits and i like it.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who has this happen.
